Program Summary

FGCU’s Roots of Compassion and Kindness (ROCK) Center launched the Kindfulness Grant in 2020 to cultivate compassion through practical projects. In 2025, reporting indicates the program expanded to the Quality Life Center in Southwest Florida, where youth and staff can use micro-grants (typically under $1,000) to implement kindness-focused initiatives year-round.

How this Action Group Supports the Program

  • Strengthen grant pipeline operations (proposal, review, award, turnaround).
  • Improve measurement framework for outcomes, stories, and learning loops.
  • Expand donor and partner visibility so small projects can scale sustainably.
  • Coordinate communications and outreach to increase participation and trust.
